|King Tut - Canopic lid :: November 30, 2009|
|We'll leave the animals behind and check out some human images from the King Tut exhibit at the AGO. This is a white lid from a canopic container - before a king was mummified they would remove the internal organs and place them in ornate containers with elaborate lids, like this one from King Tutankhamun's tomb.|
