Avenue Road sign

(A repeat today, time to take a break from night lantern shots for a while...) Growing up in Toronto the street name "Avenue Road" never seemed strange, until I made friends with people who grew up elsewhere, then realized what an odd name it really is.

It even has its own Wikipedia entry with a quote from Robert Fulford who once wrote that its name "sounded like an identity crisis with pavement."
